THE future of a 100-year-old football club is in doubt unless it can find more than £60,000 to pay tax and VAT bills.
Altrincham FC says that the Inland Revenue has told it a winding up order may now be served.
The club's board is working around the clock to raise the money, but says time may run out as the order could be served in a matter of days.
Supporters of The Robins are hoping directors will unveil a rescue plan on Monday.
