PAM Fitzgerald's friends and family showed true support by having a sponsored head shave for the former barmaid, who is receiving treatment for lung cancer.
Brave Pam, 58, of Birchwood Drive, Coppull, suffered hair loss after undergoing chemotherapy.
The head shave at the Wheatsheaf, Spendmore Lane, Coppull, was organised to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice, Lostock Hall, and Macmillan Nurses.
It was also intended to show support for Pam, who worked at the pub for ten years.
"Coppull people are like that. I have lived here 30 years and they're second to none," said Pam.
Pam's husband Frank, 61, who will be made redundant from BAE Systems next month, was the first to volunteer for the head shave.
The couple have four children: Pam, Andrea, Frank and Lynne.
Peter Bibby, landlord of the Wheatsheaf, said the event had raised more than £3,000 with cash still to come in.
