JUBILEE celebration organisers are making an appeal for help after their application for a lottery grant was turned down.
Ramsbottom hopes to stage a series of activities to mark the anniversary including a country show on June 3. However, the committee now needs to raise £5,000 to make sure the events go ahead. To help, a fundraising talk by BBC broadcaster Martin Henfield will be held at Ramsbottom Cricket Club on Saturday . Tickets from 01706 827602 or 827939.
Other jubilee celebrations will include an exhibition called 'Made in Ramsbottom' at the Civic Hall on Friday, May 31.
Further information is available at www.ramsbottom.net and any suggestions for fundraising will be welcomed.
