ALBUM: Moby -- 18

THE highlight of 18 -- named, incredibly, after the 18 tracks on it -- is current single We Are All Made Of Stars, although there's plenty more going for it.

There are a variety of styles on offer, with more than a dash of gospel/soul flavouring, with tracks like In This World. There's also blues, electro and funk should you get bored

Overall, it's a good album but, if anything, it's a bit too much like his previous effort, Play. Given that it sold ten million copies, Moby clearly knows where his priorities lie. Out on Monday.

SINGLE: Liberty X -- Just A Little

POPSTARS rejects Liberty are back with a new name, following a court ruling that another band already existed with the moniker.

Unfortunately, new name doesn't mean new sound. This is just what you'd expect from the powers that be who that brought us Hear'Say.

I'm not questioning their undoubted singing ability, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. Out Monday.

SINGLE: The Crescent -- On The Run

SOLID rock tracks will always get my vote and the Liverpool lads have done good here. On The Run sounds like Rod Stewart meets Oasis, with a hint of Dandy Warhols thrown in for good measure. It is fast, entertaining and sounds great. Keep it coming, boys. Out now.

****

SINGLE: Enrique Iglesias -- Escape

I HATE to say it but Escape, the title track of Iglesias' album is actually quite good -- and it's got nothing to do with Anna Kournikova being in the video. It's a catchy disco track with a personal expression from Enrique: you can't escape my love. Easy tiger. Out on Monday.
