SOCCER star Colin Hendry continues his bedside vigil today, a month after his wife was taken into the intensive care unit at the Royal Preston Hospital.
Denise Hendry, a 35-year-old former hairdresser, is still fighting for her life and is described as "very poorly".
Although she has improved slightly, the mother of four remains dangerously ill with the blood poisoning disease septicemia on a life support machine.
The Wanderers star player, also nicknamed Braveheart by Scottish fans, has thanked fans for their messages of support. He has described his wife as "the light of my life".
It is understood that Denise lost consciousness on April 11 at her Lytham St Annes' home.
Her life-threatening illness came soon after she underwent cosmetic surgery at a private hospital in Preston.
