A DRUNKEN argument over a missed doctor's appointment ended with a man being taken away in a police van, a court heard.
Bolton magistrates were told that builder Steven Parker missed the visit because he went out with work colleagues. When he returned to his Bristol Avenue home "worse for wear" in the early hours, he had a heated argument with his wife. The argument reached such a pitch Parker's wife called the police.
Officers asked Parker, aged 39, to leave and he agreed, but then he became aggressive and began swearing. He tried to push past the officers and was then taken away in a police van, still swearing.
Parker admitted his behaviour had caused fear or provoked violence. He was fined £150 with £50 costs.
