SIMON Hart of the Hunting Alliance wants his dogs to have the "freedom to express normal behaviour".
No one could have any problem with that. Where the League Against Cruel Sports -- and a clear 2:1 majority of the public -- disagree is not over the behaviour of dogs, but over the behaviour of people.
We do not believe that it is either "normal" or moral for a human being to knowingly set packs of dogs, bred to run slowly, to chase wild animals to the point of exhaustion, and then rip them to shreds. Human beings are different to dogs. We are morally accountable for our actions and Parliament should continue to ban those actions which society finds unacceptable.
