Kevin cruises to a double success
KEVIN Taylor has been one of the most successful riders Horwich Cycling club so far this season.
He was in action at the Bridlington Road Race in Yorkshire where, with 10miles to go, he attacked with another rider and stayed away till the finish where he won the sprint to take first place.
Two days later he took part in the Scale Hall Criterium Series race where he notched up his second win of the week.
Andy Brocklehurst, Kevin and Denis Keaskin rode the Ribble Valley Handicap RR at Treales, Andy finished an excellent fifth, Denis in the main bunch and Kevin unfortunately retired with a broken wheel.
The following day the three riders rode the Uppermill RR, Kevin Taylor was joined by Mark Leyland and Denis Keaskin. Once again Kevin was top HCC rider finishing sixth with Denis and Mark finishing in the bunch.
At the second race of the Scale Hall Criterium Series Kevin once again finished first leaving him in an excellent place to take the three race series overall.
On the MTB front, Clive Anthony has been flying the HCC flag at the Leisure Lakes Winter Series. He finished second in the Seniors race to give him a second place overall in the series.
