IAN Bowles emerged as the star performer as Bolton Harriers enjoyed successon both individual and team fronts last week.
The 18-year-old ran the club's fastest short stage in the National Road Relays on Saturday and then just 24 hours later scored a double win in the 400m hurdles and 2000m Steeplechase for the club's victorious Junior track and field squad.
Narrowly relegated from the Premier League last season, the junior men are showing every sign of bouncing straight back. England International Tom Lancashire scored a fine middle distance double.
On the field, Matthew Hales scored an excellent hammer throw victory with 38.06 metres, and took second in the shot.
In the sprints Tony Mason and Paul Faulkner picked up victories and the club finished the day in style with wins in both relays.
On Saturday the senior road running team had traveled to Sutton Park, Birmingham for the National 12-stage Road Relay Championships in which they finished 33rd.
