THIRTEEN-years-old Steven Leigh has hemopligic cerebral palsy which affects the right side of his body - yet he has achieved tremendous success in swimming and athletics to take the Special Achievement award.

In the last 12 months he has set two new England & Wales Cerebral Palsy national titles in 200m and 1500m freestyle, and qualified to swim every event in his disability at the Disability Sport England BT Long Course Senior National Swimming Championships.

He was selected to represent England & Wales Cerebral Palsy Swim Squad at the World Games - quite an honour for a 13-years-old but he relished the opportunity setting world record in the 1500m and the 200m freestyle and in the three relay events.

He has since smashed both those records as well as adding the 400m freestyle and 200m medley world records.

He has also competed at his first DSE Junior Athletic Championships and succeeded in claiming four national titles in the 100m / 200m / 400m and 800m track events.
