MINDLESS vandals who tipped over a large recycling bin of shoes have left an international company boss fuming.
The shoes were strewn across Kwik Save car park, Bolton Street, Chorley, causing an eyesore and stopping caring folk from recycling items.
Clive Woodward, general manager of European Recycling Company, which owns the bin, says his company have been forced to remove recycle bins in the past because of vandals.
He said: "We don't like the thought of people's shoes being kicked about when they have given up their time to have them recycled. We do get recycling bins removed because of vandals. More importance should be put on stopping them." The shoes are often collected by the company who sell them by the tonne to traders in Third World countries.
