WILL you please help me in a project to find out, by July 1, 2002, about the state of allotments in the UK by supplying the answers to the following:
1) Name and location of allotment site.
2) Total number of plots that could exist on the site.
3) Numbers let /Vacant (clean, letable)/Vacant (unclean/unletable).
4) Amenities (taps/car parking/site hut/toilets).
5) Rent (full/half/concessions).
6) Soil type (light/medium/heavy).
7) Crops (best and difficult to grow).
Allotments are part or our culture, there is a need to understand where we are and protect our future.
I would like to think that this census could lead to a Public National Register of Allotment Sites, but this can only be considered if a substantial amount of data is received.
Your help in this census, however small, is appreciated.
