I WAS deeply honoured when I learned I was to be one of the 5,000 runners nationwide carrying the baton in the Queen's Jubilee Relay.
I will be carrying the baton week commencing July 21, and it will finish at the Commonwealth Games Stadium on July 25.
As Secretary of the Booth Hall Children's Hospital Scanner Appeal, I am trying to get individuals/pubs/clubs/
offices/companies etc to sponsor me for the relay, to raise much needed funds for the Scanner Appeal. Booth Hall's catchment area covers as far as Carlisle in the north and down to Knutsford in the South.
Our motto has always been "Every Penny Counts". If you would like to take a sponsor form into work/pub/shop etc, it would be appreciated. Sponsor forms are available by ringing me on 0161 370 6512 after 6pm, and I will be delighted to send forms out to you, or you can send your donation with cheques or postal order (made payable to Booth Hall Scanner Appeal to me.
Thank you for helping to save children's lives at Booth Hall Hospital. God bless you all.
