The orchestra will perform a work by James MacMillan, one of the leading figures in British contemporary music -- and the composer will conduct.
The programme also includes Elgar's Cello Concerto, Arnold's Little Suite No 2, Bartok's Romanian Dances and Copland's Rodeo. Tickets, £7.50 and £5 concessions, from the Bolton Music Service on 01204 333533.
