CARTERS Arms completed the first hurdle of their quest for a Horwich Sunday League championship and cup double, when they defeated A&A Pineapple 4-0 at Daisy Hill.
Ace goalscorer Clint McLoughlin completed a first-half hat-trick with a 44th minute penalty and grabbed the fourth after the break.
Carters Arms had their goalkeeper Darren Wainwright to thank for keeping them in the game. He was in outstanding form making several point blank saves.
On Sunday, at Daisy Hill, North West BMW lifted the Division One Cup when they defeated First Division champions Howcroft 5-2.
