CHILDREN have paid tribute to the Queen Mother by creating a memorial book which will be sent to Buckingham Palace.
The Year Three pupils at Mytham Primary School have penned poems and drawn pictures of the late royal after being inspired while watching her funeral.
The 26 children viewed the televised event at their Little Lever school.
Class teacher Alison Hughes said: "They have really enjoyed this project. It was interesting and important for them to watch the funeral.
"They were able to learn about all the other members of the royal family and were fascinated.
"They have worked really hard and are now very excited about the thought of their book arriving at Buckingham Palace."
