JUST five weeks after the Reebok final of the Goldline Trophy was a glittering success, officials will be back at the home of the Wanderers tomorrow night to officially open proceedings for this summer's competition.
Like the last event, the tournament's opening rounds are due to take place in July with the later rounds on the road to the final being played during the season itself.
On Friday, representatives from all 20 invited teams will be at the Reebok to witness the first round draw.
The draw will follow the same format as last season, with the teams lining up in four groups of five teams to play in a round robin stage: the two top sides from each pool making the quarter-finals.
Three debutants will be bidding for glory when the action on the field starts in eight weeks time. Goldline officials have announced that Ashton sides Athletic and Town, as well as Stoneclough, have all been invited to participate.
