WHEN Hall i' th' Wood Museum opened to the public 100 years ago, a procession marched from the town centre through to the house.
And later this year, on July 21, a similar carnival parade is being planned to mark the centenary anniversary.
Organisers hope for a horse drawn carriage and plans are afoot to host a variety of events for the public in the hall grounds.
A variety of other events are also planned for throughout the year.
From June 1 to 3 -- All In The Past, an opportunity to share reminiscences of the area; June 20, 7.30pm -- River Dipping, an opportunity to discover what lurks on a riverbed (tickets £2.50); And June 29 and 30 -- Crafty Thing is a weekend of craft activities.
Other events for later in the year include embarking on an archaeological mini dig, a day of bodging, clog dancing and willow work, a bat watch and a Tudor festival.
