FILM: Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones. Oh yes, oh yes. So Jonathan Ross thinks this is a major disappointment eh? What a load of wubbish he's talking. OK, this isn't a great film in the way that The Shawshank Redemption or Pulp Fiction are great, but as far as sheer spectacle and excitement go, Part Two delivers the goods. Cetainly more impressive in every way than The Phantom Menace, AOTC serves up action setpiece after setpiece, as well as a new villain in Count Dooku (Christopher Lee); Boba Fett's flying bounty hunter dad Jango; Yoda wielding his lightsabre in awesome fashion and Natalie Portman in tight leather. Not convinced yet? Go and see for yourself then, awkward. IS

SPOTLIGHT: Yet again Lancashire County Cricket Ground is in the spotlight, this time due to the recently announced Oasis gig. Set to take place on September 14, this open air date will be the largest Manchester gig for the Burnage boys since their performance at the G-Mex in 1997. There is no doubt that this hometown gig will be greatly appreciated by Oasis' loyal followers, and with support lined up from Richard Ashcroft, it is bound to be a sell-out. Get your tickets pronto to avoid disappointment. NM

DVD: The Great Escape: Special Edition. Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, James Coburn, Donald Pleasance, Charles Bronson, Gordon Jackson, David McCallum. A cast of that stature today would cost a cool £200 million. You've seen it on TV a million times, but it just got better. The DVD transfer is brilliant and there are loads of interesting extras packed in too: The Real Virgil Hilts Documentary; The Great Escape: Heroes Underground; The Great Escape: The Untold Story; interviews, photos and trivia. Great stuff. IS

WHO:Ozzy Osbourne. Unlikely as it seems, the Brummie rocker is experiencing something of a renaissance. Firstly, the ex-Black Sabbath singer, previously most famous for biting the heads off various creatures onstage, is gaining cult status following the MTV reality sitcom The Osbournes. Then rumours began that he is starring in the forthcoming Austin Powers movie, and now we hear that the raven-haired rocker is due to appear at the Queen's Jubilee concert! Let's just hope no one lets him near a Corgi. NM

And... who's niz? ANT and Dec. Much as I love the little tinkers, I can't help but feel that lately Ant and Dec might be making a few dubious choices career-wise. After making SM:TV and CD:UK ubiquitous hangover viewing, they even managed to present Pop Idol without appearing unbearably cheesy or unecessarily evil. But now we hear that they have recorded the official World Cup theme tune -- wittily entitled "We're On The Ball" -- and then they go and have a stab at scripted comedy with that dodgy remake of The Likely Lads episode. I'm crossing my fingers that they don't decide to make a "PJ and Duncan -- All Grown Up" spin-off. NM
