IT is nearly that time again lads! But it really will not be the same settling down with the beers and crisps at 3am in the morning.

To be honest, information on the World Cup this year is going to be a nightmare what with the time-zone problems.

This is the official FIFA site and, as such, has been up and running for a while now. It features all the news about injuries, the teams and much, much more.

There is even a video feed which, at the moment, is showing clips of past competitions but which will go live when the competition starts.

www.joke.co.uk

THIS site promises "no American humour", although I found a few jokes that had been anglicised -- or had I seen the Americanised version first?

Whatever, it does exactly what it says on the url.

www.tightfaces.co.uk

THERE can be a problem when you stumble across a private website and you don't understand the in-jokes being bandied about.

Whatever the origin of the "tightfaces" photographs that give this site its title, there is an almost voyeuristic element in peeping in at a group of friends having fun. What makes it more interactive than most is the fact that you can send in your own pictures.

But they do have it completely wrong in their "best car in the world" debate. Ferrari or Jaguar? Don't they know that Land Rovers rule?
