Bolton Ladies summer netball: SHARPLES just get better and better as they thrive on Division A opposition. They may not have won many of their matches yet, but they have certainly given the other teams a run for their money.
Taking on Olympia A they were in the lead by half time, only falling to a sustained second half come back by Olympia, who played with awesome determination.
"An excellent game," was the umpire's comment at the end of a close contest between a revitalised Higson's and a consistent St Bonifaces. Judith Hilton for Higsons just gave them the edge by putting away some late pressure shots.
Not all the fascinating games were in the higher divisions. A skilful clash in Division E, between eventual winners Birthdays and Smithills B produced some thrilling play in an end to end game.
