FANS who went to the Reebok Stadium to be the first to own the new Bolton Wanderers away kit celebrated Premiership survival in jubilant mood.

John Rushton, from Aspull, said: "I am a big fan so it is brilliant they are staying up. It did feel a bit odd cheering on Manchester United at weekend though!"

Malcolm Nelson, from Nuttall Avenue, Horwich, "I think Bolton staying in the Premiership is fantastic. And it was probably the only time I have ever cheered United on during a match."

George Hallam, of Ashburn Close, Horwich, said: "I was over the moon on Saturday when it was certain that Bolton were safe. And it's what the supporters have always wanted. Allardyce has done us proud. I think he should be manager of the season. He's the man!"

Phil Mather, of Westbank Road, Lostock said: "I think it is brilliant that they are staying up."

Gareth Mace, of Wilmot Street, Smithills, said: "I'm really pleased that they are staying up this season. The team really deserve it. It was worth cheering on United at weekend. It was for the greater good."
