FULHAM 3, Wanderers 0: TWO goals in the space of four second half minutes killed off any chance of Wanderers securing Premiership survival at Craven Cottage.
Instead that distinction went to Jean Tigana's Fulham who led at half time through a Bjarne Goldbaek goal and rammed home their advantage with superb strikes from Steve Marlet (72 mins) and Barry Hayles (76).
Wanderers had enjoyed the better of the first half with Fredi Bobic forcing a smart first minute save from Edwin Van der Saar and Nicky Southall and Youri Djorkaeff going close. Kevin Nolan had what looked a good penalty appeal turned down.
But after the break, they struggled to make an impact up front and ended the game bowing to Fulham's superiority.
