TOM Lancashire scorched to an amazing 800m and 1500m double at the Greater Manchester Track and Field Championships, as Bolton Harriers athletes scooped eight Gold medals in Stretford.
Lancashire's times were an impressive 1:53.16 and 3:57.47.
Hazel Carwardine leapt to a Championship Best of 12.14m to win the Triple Jump and added Long Jump Silver with a PB 5.81m.
Also in the U20s, Ian Bowles added the 2000m Steeplechase Gold to his 800m Bronze, while Andrew Jones took the Pole Vault, making it a Bolton double after clubmate Jamie Cole took the Senior event.
Matthew Hales flung the Hammer a huge 46.51m, continuing his excellent early season form in the Under 17s, while the club's youngest Champion, Naomi Hall, took the Under 13 Shot Putt with 8.63m.
Elizabeth Holt took an excellent Silver in the Under 15 1500m with 5:05.32, while Mark Faulkner and Stephen Wibberley took Bronze medals in the Under 17 events. All-rounder Emma Thornton took Bronze in the Javelin.
A week previously the club's youth team got off to a winning start in the National Young Athletes League at Burnley. The team won the Division 2 match ahead of Bury.
