ONLY three games were played in the Warburton's Bolton League on Saturday with the remainder falling victim to the wet weather.

Eagley were one team who wished they had been washed out after a miserable performance at Westhoughton.

The home side enjoyed the best of the conditions as the openers shared a 128 partnership. Steve Parker (56) and Ian Pilkington (51) fell in quick succession and Westhoughton declared two overs short of the allotted 26 on 166-5. Steve Shepley took 3-48.

In reply a weakened Eagley side were completely outplayed and pacemen Darren Preston finished with 3-16 and professional Rauf a superb 7-17.

Eagley were at one stage 12-6 and only Craig Massey reached double figures.

Heaton's good start to the season foundered at Greenmount.

The visiting side struggled to 88-9 in 27 overs with Mark Stewart continuing his good form with 5-48 and pro Robin Morris 4-33. In reply Greenmount raced home for the loss of two wickets with 45 from Morris.

Tonge managed a winning draw at home to Little Lever. Tonge made 152-5 from their 26 overs with Nisar 64 and Jon Kerrigan 44. In reply Little Lever battled to 126-4 with De Silva unbeaten on 58.
