SAM Allardyce today confirmed his interest in Nigeria's World Cup star Jay-Jay Okocha.
It is believed that officials from Bolton watched the 28-year-old in action for his country against Jamaica at Loftus Road over the weekend.
Okocha is out of contract at French giants Paris St Germain and would thus be available on a free transfer.
Allardyce said: "Jay-Jay is a quality performer and, because of his availability in the close season, would inevitably be linked with moves to the Premiership.
"As a club, we are interested in players of Jay-Jay's ability but only at the right price."
Okocha has been previously linked with London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham, who could afford the £70,000 a week he was paid in France.
But it is believed that he would accept £40,000 each week to come to the Premiership.
He has played 33 times for Nigeria and scored five goals, including one last week against the Republic of Ireland. He has also previously starred for Eintracht Frankfurt and Turkish side Fenerbahce.
