YOUNG people from Bolton hit a high note at a competition highlighting crime-related issues.
Pupils from Thornleigh Salesian College came second in the Greater Manchester Police's On the Beat competition.
The group aged 10 to 18 years highlighted crime and disorder issues through music, drama and dance.
On the Beat is part of GMP's Youth Matters programme which aims to involve young people in community projects by looking at ways of dealing with crime and anti-social behaviour.
Young people aged between 13 and 18 are now being recruited for this year's 999 Challenge which encompasses all emergency services.
The contest is ideal for those who would like a career in the services. For further information telephone PC Faye Davies on 0161 856 5760.
