TEENAGE singing sensation Hannah Morris has put her musical career on hold to concentrate on her studies.
Hannah, aged 16, leaves school soon before sitting GCSE exams. She is hoping to study performing arts at college.
She shot to fame aged 14 after touching the hearts of millions of viewers in the grand final of BBC's A Star for a Night before being snapped up by Virgin Records and recording an album.
But the Smithills School pupil's father, Peter, believes Hannah was too young to deal with the demands of the music industry and is pleased that his daughter is keen to pursue her studies. Hannah has continued to perform locally and will be singing at Astley Bridge Cricket Club on Monday, June 3, for the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Peter said: "Hannah is still determined to become famous, but I think she was a bit too young before. I want her to concentrate on her exams because she only gets the chance to sit them once, but her voice will always be there."
