SHOP owners in deprived areas of the North-west will share more than £1.8m as part of a two-year initiative to combat business crime.
Proprietors in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria have already benefited from the first round of Government funding.
Cash is used to tighten security and fund facelifts for rundown areas.
