PHOTOGRAPHER Simon Webb focuses on the Commonwealth as part of an innovative exhibition on show at The Lowry.

Simon, who trained in photography at the Bolton Institute, is one of four artists to be chosen to exhibit at the "Gateway to the Commonwealth" exhibition which runs until June 30.

This will be the first major solo exhibition for Simon, who now works as a lecturer of digital photography at Warrington Collegiate Institute.

He has been a photographer for four years, working as a photo-journalist but primarily focusing on social documentary photography, working with the Manchester Chinese Community, gypsy travellers in Britain and Czech Republic, and the Chinese Communities in the USA.

His is one of three projects displayed in the exhibition to celebrate the Commonwealth Games.
