A MASKED ball for Bolton-based Guide Dogs for the Blind raised more than £10,000.
The charity bash, at the Moat House Hotel, was a sellout with 250 guests wearing masks for the glittering occasion. It is hoped that the event will be even bigger next year.
Alison Berry, from the Bolton Guide Dogs, said: "We had a marvellous response. Many guests had masks specially made. We raised lots of money in an auction. Next year, we hope it will be bigger -- we had to turn so many away this year because there was no room."
Bolton Guide Dogs will also benefit from a karaoke night on Friday, May 31, at Rumworth Labour Club, Prescott Street, Bolton, at 7.30pm.
