Wanderers strike duo Dean Holdsworth and Rod Wallace are believed to be transfer targets for First Division Gillingham.
Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler is understood to have pencilled in the veteran Reebok front men at the top of his summer wanted list.
Holdsworth, who Wanderers have agreed to let go, could be the most viable proposition for the Kent club who could provide the Londoner with work close to his family home.
The loss of both players would leave Wanderers short of strikers so Allardyce may be loathe to let Wallace go as well at least until he has signed replacements.
