SVEN-GORAN Eriksson has admitted Kieron Dyer may not be fit for the start of the World Cup and that England's second game with Argentina may be a more realistic target for the Newcastle winger to make his bow in the tournament.
Dyer is set to undertake his first public training session with England today since suffering his knee injury in a horror tackle by Southampton's Tahar El Khalej 11 days ago.
Eriksson has maintained his faith in Dyer being fit enough to play a part in the 2002 finals by naming him in his final squad of 23, a decision which meant Trevor Sinclair was today flying home to England although he will remain on standby.i
