HELLO again and welcome to the world of Vernon -- your very own contact with what's hot and what's not in London.
Well, I try my best to keep up with things. I look like I know what I'm talking about so that's the main thing.
Went to watch the Wanderers play Fulham on Tuesday night so I can't speak now because I've lost my voice through shouting.
This week my girlfriend Tess and I decided we were in need of a holiday. We had planned to go to Paris for a couple of days but concluded Brighton was much more convenient and so headed for there.
We had a great time shopping, walking and eating -- and all without the constant hassle of photographers or a certain gossip column trio! Honestly, you can't go for a night out in London without someone shoving a microphone under your nose and demanding to know what you're doing. So Brighton was a nice change thank you.
I'm interviewing Hollywood actor Willem Dafoe this week and, as he's my all-time favourite actor, I'm really looking forward to it. He'll be promoting his new film, Spider-Man -- he plays the Green Goblin -- and I can't wait to meet him. I've heard he's a pretty nice bloke. The film's out in mid June so I'll be checking that one out.
I've also been to Cyprus this week where I took part in a Ford rally with none other than the great Colin McRae, former world champion rally driver. What a fantastic experience! I had an amazing time whizzing round -- excellent fun.
Because I've been away for much of the past week, I haven't really bumped into many people although my mate spotted Liam Gallagher and Richard Ashcroft driving down Finchley Road in a white Mercedes convertible. I haven't seen Liam for a while but when I do it'll probably be a very long night!
I'm going to see 24 Hour Party People sometime soon -- my mates Steve Coogan and Peter Kay star in it. Peter last collared me at the NME Awards when he shouted: "Oi, Vernon Kay, everyone thinks we're brothers." Good old Peter. He loves a laugh.
