Well, I hate to rub it in, but while you lot have been grafting away I have been sunning myself on the wonderful Island of Tenerife -- but, of course, I've been thinking of you all . . .

And just to prove it I can reveal an exciting update for Key 103's Feel The Noise line up.

The rumours have been flying thick and fast, there has been nudging and winking and secret handshakes galore, and we can finally announce that , yes, it's true! Feel The Noise 2002 will star Pop Idol's Gareth Gates! The talented young lad is delighted to be joining us this summer, in a move that is likely to bring plenty of Pop Idol fanatics out of the woodwork. Don't forget that Key 103 is planning to take over Manchester with our annual entertainment event, Keyfest. Soon you won't be able to move for gigs, comedy nights and open air shenanigans, so make sure you have kept the summer free!

As for me, those of you who get to sample the joys of daytime TV might already know, I have recently snagged myself a fortnightly spot on Granada Lunchtime Live, where I can be found spilling the gossip on what's hot in the music world and playing the latest releases and videos, so look out for that this Tuesday.

And now, as sunny Tenerife fades into only a memory, I can carry on the holiday vibe at Ikon, where you can catch me on Friday (April 26), playing the funkiest chart tunes amongst some boni fidi party people to start your weekend with a bang.
