JUST when I thought it was safe to sleep easy in my bed without nightmares of mass medication being forced down my throat against my will, the fluoride lobby, who I agree are entitled to their opinion, however misguided, and who do not seem to understand a democratic referendum with a blatant NO for an answer, raises its head again.
Would these people, I wonder, allow me or anyone else to enter their homes and give them and their families medication against their will, on the understanding that it might not do them any good, and in many instances could cause a lot of harm?
I doubt it.
And one has to raise the question, is this altogether about fluoride, or are there monetary gains to be made in areas that we are not told about?
Why, why, why, do we feel it necessary to keep taking responsibility away from parents who have access to fluoride in other forms suitable for themselves and their children?
I would consider it a gross infringement of my human rights if this mass medication programme came about -- as I am sure the European Court would.
This could be the thin edge of the wedge to remove people's choice.
DON'T LET IT HAPPEN.
