HINDLEY Hall won the Buff Cup, awarded to the club with the best two combined scores in the Bolton & District Charity Division 2 Golf Cot competition
It was a tight finish with the home team edging out Turton on a card play-off. Winning team was Keith Tyrer, Colin Berry, Jerry Foley and Brian Saunders.
The Captain Entwistle Cup, awarded to the pair with most Stableford points, went to Tony Settle and Steve Butler of Breightmet with 41 points on cpo from Stan Forster and John Barlow of Turton.
Old Links fifth team took the honours in the ladies golf cot event. The team of A Reilly, A Allen, M Attwood, M Monaghan and B Brooks used local knowledge to record 140 points, three ahead of the Harwood third team of S Martin, L Lund, V Boyes, S Leach and S Hilton. Bolton's T Whittle won the silver division with 40 points and M Monaghan of Old Links with 38 pts.
More than £1500 was raised which will go towards the Meningitis Trust and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
