A COUNCIL has revealed plans to close four of its old people's homes, affecting more than 60 residents.
Bury Council says it has been forced to take the measure after being criticised in two reports for its over-reliance on residential homes for care.
The proposals include closing Warthfield in Bury and Claremont in Prestwich by September.
