GREEN-FINGERED people from the town's Asian communities are being asked to take part in a gardening project.
Heaton Fold Horticultural Centre is linking with the community to attract more people to use its facilities.
The centre is Bolton Council's horticultural training base for adults with learning disabilities.
There are currently no members of the town's large Asian communities involved in the scheme. To help change things, staff have linked with the Shakti Group, an organisation for Asian parents and carers, and Falcon View Day Centre. But they would like to hear from anyone else who is interested in taking part.
A wide variety of training is offered from horticulture to IT skills. Support is also provided in such areas as community nursing, speech therapy, independent travel and living skills.
