THE housing market in Greater Manchester and Merseyside may run out of control, with prices rising by 1.6 per cent this month, a property website warns.
Hometrack said current growth was equivalent to annual house price inflation of 18 per cent, but warned that this level of increase was unsustainable.
It added that it expected the market to slow down steadily next year.
