TICKETS are now on sale for Farnworth Little Theatre's final play of the season, the black comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace.
The comedy was presented at the group's first permanent theatre in 1957.
Joseph Kesselring's play features two eccentric elderly sisters who take pity on a series of lonely lodgers -- by ending their misery with generous helpings of their deadly home-made wine.
The sisters are played by Mona Smith and Edwina Freeman. Both have already played main roles in previous productions this season. Mona was in the drama Veronica's Room, and Edwina in FLT's most recent production, A Man For All Seasons.
In the cast of 14 there are only three women. And of the 11 men, five are making their first appearance on the Farnworth stage -- Lawrence Barker, Norman Warwick, Fred Mayers, Steve Hulme and Bob Hopkinson.
David Stirzaker, pictured, the theatre's treasurer, will be directing. He already has five FLT productions behind him, the last being the farce See How They Run last September.
The play runs from June 1 to 8, and tickets are from 303808, (5.30pm to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday).
