FREDI Bobic wants to make a happy return to Bolton Wanderers.

The former Germany international striker was a big hit during a loan spell last season and will be straight back the second deals can be struck between Wanderers, Bobic and his club Borussia Dortmund.

Bobic hit four crucial goals prompting calls for his stay to be made permanent.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed he would like to have him in his squad but, as ever in football, it all comes down to money.

It is understood that a fee was agreed between the two clubs when the loan deal was completed and that the stumbling block is Wanderers needing to agree personal terms with Bobic.

But Bobic's agent Bernhard Schmittenbecher says the two clubs will have the final say.

He said: "No decision has been made at the moment as Fredi is away on holiday.

"But he would be happy to stay at Bolton.

"It was a great time for him and he would like to go back. The decision is now down to Bolton and Borussia Dortmund and Fredi is just waiting for a call from Sam Allardyce."
