MAGISTRATES decided they did not have sufficient powers to deal with serial offender Anthony Long.
They sent Long, aged 21, to the Crown Court for sentence after hearing about a catalogue of crimes.
Long, of Fern Grove, Bury, was remanded in custody until June 12 after he pleaded guilty to all offences.
He was arrested after he was found stealing old roof slates from a disused factory in the Heap Bridge area of Bury.
Long also assaulted Derek Holt in the street.
He also broke into Rachel house in Bury and stole a payphone and its contents worth £400.
During the same month he attacked his former girlfriend, kicking her while she was on the floor.
Long was arrested in May this year when police went to a reported disturbance outside a house in Fern Grove East, Bury.
