A HARWOOD competition fanatic struck gold when she won a family trip to London for the Queen's Jubilee.
Susan Norwood's family tease her for entering every competition going and, although she has won a few things in the past, this is her biggest prize yet.
Housewife Susan, aged 51, entered the national competition, run in the Bolton Evening News, to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the capital over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend in June.
She is one of 50 people across the country randomly selected from more than 11,500 entries.
She said: "I enter a lot of competitions in the Bolton Evening News, so when I saw this I sent off my name and address, but I never expected to win. It's so exciting, definitely the best thing I have won. My family laugh at me for entering so many competitions, but maybe they will stop now."
Susan, of Harden Drive, will be taking her husband Kevin, aged 51, and her two youngest children Paul, aged 17, and Helen, aged 14, with her.e
The family, who previously had no plans for the biggest event of the year, will travel to London with Virgin on Sunday, June 2, and will stay at the Hilton Trafalgar Hotel. During their stay the Norwoods will be treated to VIP seats in the Queen Victoria Memorial South Stand, opposite the Palace, from which they will have a superior view of the Jubilee celebrations.
Special visits to Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London, are also included in the prize.
