BOLTON Schools town team returned to winning ways with a 57 run victory when they faced Tameside at Kearsley Cricket Club.
After being put into bat, Bolton lost Iftikhar Ali without a run being scored but then James Hill 45 and Chris Fenn 35 came to the rescue.
Once they had gone further excellent batting from Michael Gray 24 and Tom Fairclough 14 not out pushed Bolton to a respectable score of 132 for five from a reduced 25 overs.
Tameside were made to struggle from the start and only managed to score 17 runs off the first 10 overs due to fine bowling from Adam Street and Gareth Dooley.
James Hill three for 21, Gareth Dooley one for nine, plus three run outs ended with Tameside ending on 75 for seven.
Bolton's next match is an Ainsworth Cup game at Bolton Cricket Club against Bury Schools on Friday, May 31.
