AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl had to be rescued by firefighters after falling from a rope swing down an embankment in Bromley Cross.
Paramedics were called to land off Turton Heights near to Birtenshaw Hall School at about 8pm on Saturday.
The girl, who has not been named, was trapped at the bottom of the steep slope and the crew could not get her back to the ambulance.
Firefighters were called to the scene and used a 4x4 vehicle to carry her on a stretcher to the ambulance.
The girl was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from a back injury.
