A CHURCH is putting on a special service on Sunday, June 2, for all football haters.
The service, at St Paul's church, Astley Bridge, kicks-off at the same time as the England versus Sweden game, the country's first match of the World Cup finals.
The church also has a service at 9am, ensuring that all football fans will be back home for kick off.
Parishioners from the church will also be joining other Astley Bridge churches on Bolton Asda car park on June 9 at 6pm, in a songs of praise event.
The half hour celebration will see the service taken out of the four walls of the church, and into the community, so people from the district can join in. For more information contact 304119.
