A MAN stole from a string of shops to fund his £100 a day heroin habit, a court heard.
Bury magistrates were told that Christian Lisle walked out of JJB Sports in Bury with 13 England shirts valued at more than £400. He was caught and detained by staff.
Lisle also took two power saws from Homebase in Bolton and stole from the Late Shop in Farnworth.
Lisle, aged 19, from Highfield Drive, Farnworth, also admitted stealing £600 worth of England shirts from the Sports and Soccer store in Horwich.
Lisle pleaded guilty to five separate charges of theft and was given a two-year community rehabilitation order and was ordered to pay £200 compensation.
On that occasion staff followed him by car to his home.
But they were unable to apprehend Lisle after another man, armed with a baseball bat, got out of the vehicle and threatened them.
