HUNDREDS of medals are being handed out to schooolchildren by the New Bury Community Centre committee to honour the Queen's anniversary.
It is also staging a party at St James' Secondary School field on Monday, June 3, which will cater for all ages, including a beer tent and karaoke, and entertainment will include the Heatons Transmission Band and morris dancing troupes.
John McDermott, publicity officer, said: "Everyone is welcome to come along to celebrate this great event."
The group runs a 'Tool Pool' where residents can loan tools to spruce up their homes, and it has also recently opened 'The Old Library Cafe' at its George Street base. For further information about the Jubilee celebrations or the centre call 577822.
