Crompton XI lost 216-184 to Farnworth CC witha good second innings batting peformnace which changed the likely outcome.
Brownlow Ladies won their first game of the season when they beat St Matthews 150-88.
The third part of round one in the Sunday competitions saw several matches off due to heavy rain.
New Recruits and Westhoughton Central XI played through the rain but the final score revealed a replay was necessary when the scores were level at 190 each.
Superior Pet XI also played at Harper Green and beat The Grapes 177-176 in a tense finale.
Esporta Ladies A entered the second round stage with a victory over Hatfield XI A 270-192.
Farmers XI and Walkden CC B both had victories in the Dorothy Clarke competition.
